Evan Oakes
Evan Oakes is our speaker this month.  He does research as an agricultural scientist for the University of California Cooperative Extension Office in Salinas.  He has a specialty in viticulture (grape growing) with degrees from University of California, Davis and from Fresno State. 

He's an historian on the Monterey Bay area and owns AG VENTURE Tours which does all kinds of sightseeing, wine tasting, and educational tours in the  Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz areas and beyond.  He's President of the local chapter of American Institute of Wine and Food, which is a great social and educational group.    

You will find he's a very interesting guy.
