A NEW YEAR, A NEW YOU!!
Thank goodness for New Year’s! We now have the socially sanctioned opportunity to say we are going to change something, and the utmost support of nearly everyone we know, because they are saying the same thing! One of the things I hear most often is “I’m going to clean out my closet”. Time for a change, ladies!
Speaking of change, my husband and I have been watching the show “The Amazing Mrs. Maisel” lately. It’s a period show that takes place on the Upper West side of NYC in the late 50’s and early 60’s. And the fashions are fabulous! Remember when (well, some of us do) ladies wore corsets and girdles, even if they had a 24” waist? And bras were pointy? And an exercise outfit was, well, maybe big shorts and a blouse? Maybe. And skirts and dresses and high heels were the “couture” of the day? I remember my mother wearing heels and a dress while she was IRONING! Anybody remember ironing all their clothes?
Whether you remember all these fashions, or just enjoy looking at them and saying, “Thank goodness for change”, you will LOVE seeing what we have in store for you at the Fashion Show this year. This is going to be a really fun show, I guarantee it. So, tell your friends and bring them along to sip a glass of wine and share a laugh or two at what we used to go through to look so good. Some things are just TIMELESS!
