It’s Raining, It’s Pouring, but Nothing is Boring!

OH, what a glorious rain season we’ve had so far this year! Let’s hope it continues for a while.
As I sit here, I am looking at a swarm of birds building nests in the nearby trees, gathering their goodies to put to use for their homes and baby birds. That’s kind of what the various committees are doing in preparation for the Fashion Show. We are busily gathering our goodies for the Big Event on Friday, April 5, at the Hyatt Regency. Food for the lunches, decorations, clothes for the models, choice of music, and all the details...
And some awesome news: we are officially welcoming our new chair for the Silent Auction: Eileen Topete. Although Eileen is new to the club, she brings lots of experience with her, and we are excited to be working with her. She will be looking for volunteers to help out with gathering donations, and also, if you have donors in mind or donations of any kind, please call her at 831-574-5599.
I know you have heard this before, but we really mean it: this is going to be a fun day for everyone! Bring your mom, your daughter, your co-workers, your friends, that new person you wanted to get to know better and have a wonderful time! And while you’re viewing and competing with a lot of silent auction item bidders, you can go home with your own goodies for your own nest and know that you have donated to a GREAT cause: scholarships for women and community causes.
