President's Monthly Message

Dear Members and Prospective Members,

It’s the season for giving thanks and I’d like to begin by thanking all our Board Members, Committee Heads and Volunteers for their dedication, brainpower, grace and good humor. The Club has had a terrific year! And, we have a fantastic team running our Club and pulling together our strategies and events for 2026, so there’s more to come! Keep up with what’s happening by visiting our website, which we are currently renovating.

Some of that grace and good humor were displayed by Conne Sutherland, Heidi Sebok and Charlotte Joyce last week. An old oak tree fell on the Wine House and rain was expected the day of our luncheon. These three ladies scrambled to reschedule, contact all the luncheon guests and reorganize staff. The result: A sunny, tasty and energetic get together! In a beautiful location.

Thanks also to our longtime and new members for being part of our club. This year we attracted 57 new, paid members and have a huge pool of talent!

Planning for the Hoedown on April 19, 2026, is underway. This is a great way to work together with friends, old and new, to strengthen our ties to the community, boost our Scholarship Fund and improve life in Carmel Valley for girls, women and families. There are so many ways to participate - before, during and after; at home and onsite; for an hour or 2, or all day. Most of these do not involve fundraising! Sherie Dodsworth will be hosting a sign-up table at the December Luncheon.

Membership in the Carmel Valley Women's Club is open to anyone wishing to join. We welcome anyone interested in our educational, social and philanthropic efforts. We have members from all over Monterey county.

Our monthly luncheons are available to members and their guests by reservation and are paid at time of reservation or at the venue. Our other social events are typically free, sometimes with requests to have members bring tasty treats. Our philanthropy endeavors focus on Carmel Valley (including the mouth of the valley which is technically Carmel). The Carmel Valley Women's Club Foundation serves as our vehicle for philanthropy. In addition, we publish a monthly on-line newsletter.
